Outdoor Learning at Robsack Wood offers children and young people the opportunity, over repeated visits, to engage with the rich natural diversity of the woodland environment to help build confidence, sensitivity, resilience and curiosity. Activities that the children will take part in will range from identifying the trees and animals in our woodland to using tools, making fires and building shelters. Outdoor Learning aims to engage all children with the outdoor environment, as well as supporting them to become independent learners who are inspired to try out their own ideas, explore their own interests and to attempt new things.
We also have animals on site, which the children care for and which are used to teach life skills and enable them to understand the importance of regular care. This also supports curriculum areas such as the circle of life.
